Stay Home, Make Art

This blog provides art projects and other art resources to students during the spring 2020 school closures.

Clay Day!

Did you know that you can make your own air dry clay at home? Here is a very simple recipe from Cassie Stephens.

1/2 cup flour

1/4 cup salt

1/4 water

  1. Measure all three ingredients into a bowl.

  2. Knead or squeeze the ingredients together with your hands.

  3. When you have a smooth ball of clay, you are ready to sculpt! You can stick pieces together with a little bit of water and your finger. If you have any clay leftover, you can save it for later in an airtight container.

I made this video to show you how to make a creature without having to stick pieces together (sometimes they fall off when it dries).
